Maddie Moyer-Keehn rated it really liked it Jan 06, It is a ih for me for a class called, “Magic, Witchcraft and Religion”, which is not nearly as interesting as it sounds. These 15 locations in All: It is obviously written by anthropologists for anthropologists as opposed to undergrads and it is challenging in its language and its concepts.
In addition to sometimes actively collaborating with psychologists in the design and execution of experiments to test hypotheses, those anthropologists draw on the cognitive sciences in general, along with evolutionary biology, the neural sciences, and developmental and evolutionary psychology. I read this book at least, I read several of the sections and found it illuminating and, as my professor of religious anthropology called it, “muddying”, as these texts don’t so much as definitively explain the various religious studies they are undertaking so much as begin to unpack them, explode them into their extraordinarily complex arrays and fractals.
